Jon Pardi's spouse, Summer, has shared information about her second pregnancy. After announcing the news to their fans, the couple is fully embracing the upcoming arrival of their second child. Summer offered a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend.
The singer's spouse took the time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to several inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and having children. Among the topics discussed was how she discovered her current pregnancy. She confessed that the news came unexpectedly, not because they weren't attempting to conceive, but because it took them a considerable amount of time to get pregnant with their first child, who is now one year old and named Presley.
Summer shared in a slide that they faced a lot of difficulties while trying to conceive their child, Presley. They tried for a period of two years and were informed that they would need to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF). However, they unexpectedly conceived naturally right after they decided to let go of all the stress and pressure. She discovered her pregnancy one morning when she took a test after waking up early and needing to use the bathroom. Since they had been trying to conceive for a few weeks, she decided to take the test. Initially, the test showed a negative result, which made her disappointed. Disheartened, she threw the test in the trash and went back to bed.
Luckily, the story did not conclude at that point. After a few hours, Summer decides to retrieve the discarded pregnancy test and reexamine it. Surprisingly, the result turned out to be positive. She realizes that she had become accustomed to the rapid response of COVID-19 tests, forgetting that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully show the outcome.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer reveals that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This came as a surprise to her because she noticed significant differences in the symptoms she experienced compared to her first pregnancy. During this pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe that she was carrying a boy. She even had a nursery theme planned out for a boy.
Earlier this month, the Pardis revealed the gender of their unborn baby by creatively using a pepperoni pizza. They pulled away two slices and discovered pink slips of paper underneath, indicating that they were expecting a girl. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were pleasantly surprised by the news and expressed their immense excitement about welcoming another girl into their family.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is the top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I won't completely rule out the possibility of a third baby, we currently have no intentions or preparations for it.
The couple is not in agreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who picked their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second baby. She jokingly adds that they are currently not speaking because of this disagreement. Summer also shares a list of her top choices for the baby's name, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer tied the knot in 2020, and their daughter, Presley, was born in February 2023. When they publicly announced the pregnancy, they revealed that they had been actively attempting to conceive since their wedding.
