Jon Pardi's spouse has shared some information about her second pregnancy with their fans. After announcing the news, the couple is now fully focused on preparing for their new addition. Summer recently provided her followers with a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session.
The singer's spouse took the time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to several fan inquiries regarding pregnancy and babies. Among the topics discussed was the tale of how she discovered she was expecting this time. She confessed that the news caught her off guard, not because they weren't attempting to conceive, but rather because it had taken them a considerable amount of time to get pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared in one slide that they faced significant difficulty in conceiving their child, Presley. They attempted for a duration of two years and were even advised to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF). However, as soon as they decided to let go of the stress and pressure, Summer unexpectedly became pregnant naturally. Given their previous experience, they made the decision to start trying for another baby in October, anticipating another lengthy journey to conception.
She discovered her pregnancy in the morning, beginning with a test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early one morning and decided to take the test because they had been trying to conceive in the past few weeks. After observing the test, which turned out to be negative, she felt disappointed, disposed of it in the trash, and went back to sleep.
Luckily, the story didn't come to an end at that point. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the trash and double-check. To her surprise, the result was clearly positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results, causing her to forget that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This came as a surprise to her because she noticed significant differences in the symptoms she experienced compared to her first pregnancy. During this second pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe she was carrying a boy. As a result, she had already chosen a nursery theme specifically for a boy.
A few weeks ago, the Pardis conducted a straightforward gender reveal by removing two slices from a pepperoni pizza, which uncovered pink pieces of paper beneath them. Despite both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, being taken aback by the news of expecting another girl, she expresses their immense enthusiasm.
The well-being of a happy and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we feel content with having two babies and currently have no intentions or future arrangements for a third one, although we cannot completely rule it out.
The couple is currently having a disagreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who chose their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for baby number two. She jokingly mentioned that they are not currently speaking to each other because of this. Summer also shared a list of her favorite name options, such as Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their child, Presley, in February 2023. When they made the announcement about their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been actively trying to conceive since their wedding and had sought advice from doctors. They decided to take a break from their attempts to have a baby but surprisingly, they became pregnant soon after.
