Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. After announcing the news to their fans, Jon Pardi and his wife Summer are fully focused on preparing for the arrival of their second child. Summer recently provided an insight into her current pregnancy during an interactive Q&A session on Instagram Stories.
The singer's spouse took the time to respond to a selection of fan inquiries regarding pregnancy and babies on Saturday (Jan. 27). Among these inquiries, she shared the story of how she discovered she was expecting again. She confessed that the news came as a shock, not because they were not attempting to conceive, but because it took them quite some time to get pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared that they experienced a significant struggle when trying to conceive their child, Presley. Despite attempting for a duration of two years and being advised to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF), they surprisingly conceived naturally when they decided to let go of all their worries. Consequently, in October, they opted to begin trying for another child, anticipating that it might take a considerable amount of time once again.
The day she discovered her pregnancy began with a pregnancy test that, initially, showed a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the preceding weeks. She observed the test, which appeared to be negative, feeling disappointed. She discarded it in the trash and returned to bed.
Luckily, the situation did not conclude there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to recheck the results. She discovered that it was indeed a positive result. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing immediate results and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to develop fully.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was particularly unexpected because she noticed a significant difference in the symptoms she experienced compared to her first pregnancy. During this second pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe that she was going to have a boy. She even had already chosen a nursery theme based on this assumption.
During the beginning of this month, the Pardis utilized a creative method to reveal the sex of their upcoming child. They pulled apart two slices of a pepperoni pizza, which uncovered pink slips of paper underneath. Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were both taken aback by the news of expecting another girl. However, she mentions that they are extremely thrilled about this addition to their family.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is the top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I won't completely rule it out, we currently have no intentions of having a third baby.
The couple is not in agreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who chose their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second child's name. She jokingly says that they are currently not speaking because of this disagreement. Summer also shared a list of her preferred name options, such as Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer tied the knot in 2020, and in February 2023, they welcomed their baby, Presley. When they revealed the news of their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been actively attempting to conceive since their wedding. They had sought advice from medical professionals before deciding to take a break from trying. Interestingly, it was during this break that they unexpectedly became pregnant.
