Jon Pardi's spouse has revealed exciting information about her second pregnancy. With the announcement out in the open, the country duo is fully immersed in preparing for their new addition. Summer recently shared some insights about her current pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session.
On Saturday (Jan. 27), the spouse of the singer responded to several inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. One of the topics discussed was how she discovered her current pregnancy. She confessed that the news came unexpectedly, not because they were not attempting to conceive, but due to the fact that it took them a considerable amount of time to become pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared in a slide that they faced significant difficulties in conceiving their child, Presley. Despite trying for two years and being advised to undergo IVF, they miraculously conceived naturally when they decided to let go of the stress and pressure. Encouraged by this unexpected success, they made the decision to start trying for another baby in October, just in case the process turned out to be lengthy once again.
The day she discovered her pregnancy began with a pregnancy test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early in the morning and decided to take the test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the past few weeks. After observing the test, which indicated a negative outcome, she felt disappointed. She threw the test in the trash and went back to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't come to a close at that point. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the trash to double-check the result. To her surprise, it was clearly positive. Summer realized that she had grown accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results, and she had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.
In another part of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was caught off guard when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was especially unexpected because she had experienced different symptoms during this pregnancy compared to her first one. During this pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe she was having a boy. She even had already chosen a nursery theme for a boy.
At the start of this month, the Pardis performed a straightforward gender reveal by removing two slices of a pepperoni pizza to unveil pink pieces of paper hidden beneath. Despite both Summer and her husband, a country singer, being caught off guard by the news of having another girl in the family, she expresses their high level of enthusiasm.
The well-being of a happy and healthy baby is of utmost importance to us. Although we are content with having two babies at the moment, I cannot completely rule out the possibility of having a third in the future. However, we currently do not have any intentions or plans for expanding our family.
The couple is not in agreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer mentioned that Pardi, who previously chose their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second child. This disagreement has led to a temporary halt in their communication, although she admits that she is joking. Summer also provided a list of her current favorite names for their baby, which includes Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer got married in 2020 and had their baby, Presley, in February 2023. When they revealed their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been trying to have a baby since they got married. They even sought advice from doctors but decided to take a break from trying to conceive. Surprisingly, they became pregnant soon after taking that break.
