Jon Pardi's spouse, Summer, recently shared some exciting details about her second pregnancy with fans. The couple is fully embracing the anticipation of their upcoming baby, and Summer provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy journey through an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend.
The singer's spouse recently responded to some fan inquiries about pregnancy and babies on Saturday (Jan. 27). She shared the story of how she discovered her current pregnancy, explaining that it was unexpected. Although they were actively trying to conceive, it took them a considerable amount of time to get pregnant with their one-year-old daughter Presley.
Summer shared in one slide that they had a difficult time conceiving their first child, Presley. They tried for two years and were even advised to undergo IVF. However, they ended up getting pregnant naturally just when they had given up on all the fertility treatments. Due to their previous experience, they decided to start trying for another baby in October, assuming it might take a while again. To their surprise, they were successful sooner than expected.
She discovered her pregnancy one morning when she took a test after waking up early and needing to use the bathroom. She had been trying to conceive for a few weeks prior. Initially, the test showed a negative result, which disappointed her. Disheartened, she discarded the test and returned to bed.
Luckily, the situation didn't come to an end at that point. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the discarded pregnancy test to recheck the results. To her surprise, the test showed a clear positive indication. Summer realizes that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing immediate results, and she had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.
In another part of the Q&A, Summer reveals that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was unexpected because she had experienced different symptoms during this pregnancy compared to her first one. During this time, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe she was carrying a boy. She had even chosen a nursery theme based on this assumption.
In the previous month, the Pardis performed a straightforward gender reveal by uncovering pink pieces of paper beneath two slices of pepperoni pizza. Both Summer and her husband, a country singer, were taken aback by the news of expecting another daughter, but they express great enthusiasm and joy about it.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I cannot predict the future, we currently have no intentions of having a third baby.
The couple is having a disagreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer says that Pardi, who previously chose their first child's name, does not like any of her suggestions for their second child. Summer jokingly mentions that they are not currently talking because of this disagreement. She also shares a list of her current favorite name choices, such as Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer have been in a marital relationship since the year 2020, and their child Presley was born in February 2023. When they initially made the announcement about their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been attempting to conceive a baby since their wedding. They had sought advice from medical professionals before temporarily stopping their efforts to conceive. Surprisingly, they were able to conceive shortly after taking this break.
