Jon Pardi's spouse has revealed information about her second pregnancy. After announcing the news to their fans, the country duo is fully focused on preparing for their new addition. Summer provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend.
The singer's spouse took the time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to some inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. Among the topics discussed was the revelation of how she discovered her current pregnancy. She confessed that the news was unexpected, not due to lack of effort in trying to conceive, but because it had taken them a significant amount of time to get pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared in one slide that they faced difficulties conceiving their child, Presley, and tried for two years. They were even advised to undergo IVF treatment. However, as soon as they decided to let go of all the stress and pressure, they became pregnant naturally. Due to their previous experience, they started trying to conceive again in October, expecting another lengthy journey. Much to their surprise, they were successful sooner than expected.
The day she discovered she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that initially seemed to show a negative result. Early in the morning, she woke up and needed to use the bathroom, so she decided to take a pregnancy test since she and her partner had been trying to conceive in the past few weeks. After taking the test, she observed that it turned out negative, which disappointed her. She then disposed of the test in the trash and went back to sleep.
Luckily, the story didn't end there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the trash to double-check. To her surprise, the result was clearly positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results, and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was surprising to her because she noticed several symptoms during this pregnancy that were completely different from her first one. During this pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe that she was going to have a boy. She even had a specific theme picked out for the nursery in anticipation of a baby boy.
In the past month, the Pardis utilized a creative method to reveal the gender of their baby. They pulled apart two slices of a pepperoni pizza to uncover pink slips of paper, indicating that they were expecting a girl. Both Summer and her husband, a country singer, were pleasantly surprised by the news and are extremely enthusiastic about welcoming another daughter into their family.
The top priority is having a happy and healthy baby. Additionally, we are content with having two babies for now. While I won't completely rule out the possibility, we currently do not have any intentions of having a third baby.
The couple is disagreeing about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who previously chose their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for baby number two. As a result, they are currently not speaking to each other, although Summer adds that she is just joking. She also shared a list of her favorite potential names, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and Summer have been in a marital union since the year 2020, and their child, Presley, was born in February 2023. Upon announcing their pregnancy, they revealed that they had been attempting to conceive since their wedding and had sought advice from medical professionals. After pausing their efforts to conceive for a while, they swiftly became pregnant.
