Jon Pardi's spouse has revealed information about her second pregnancy. After announcing the news to their fans, Jon Pardi and Summer are fully focused on preparing for their upcoming baby. Summer recently shared insights into her current pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session.
The singer's wife recently shared some insights about her pregnancy and babies with fans on Saturday (Jan. 27). She discussed how she discovered she was pregnant this time, explaining that it was unexpected. Although they were actively trying to conceive, it took them a while to get pregnant with their one-year-old daughter Presley, so the news came as a surprise.
Summer shared in a slide that it was very difficult for them to conceive their child, Presley. They tried for two years and were even advised to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF). However, they unexpectedly became pregnant naturally when they decided to let go of the pressure. Therefore, in October, they decided to start trying for another baby, just in case it took a long time again. Surprisingly, they were met with another pregnancy.
The day she discovered she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that initially showed a negative result. She woke up very early one morning and realized she needed to use the bathroom, so she decided to take a pregnancy test because she and her partner had been trying to conceive for a few weeks. She observed the test as it indicated a negative result, which left her feeling disappointed. She then discarded the test in the trash and went back to bed.
Luckily, the story didn't come to an end at that moment. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to recheck the results. She discovered that the test was indeed positive. Summer realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests displaying results rapidly, causing her to forget that pregnancy tests require a few minutes to show the complete outcome.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer acknowledges that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was particularly surprising to her because she noticed significant differences in the symptoms she experienced compared to her first pregnancy. During this second pregnancy, she experienced intense nausea from weeks 5 to 10, which made her believe that she was expecting a boy. She even had a specific theme chosen for the nursery based on this assumption.
Earlier this month, Pardis used a unique method to reveal the gender of their baby by uncovering pink slips of paper hidden beneath two slices of pepperoni pizza. Both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were taken aback by the news of expecting another girl, but they express great enthusiasm and anticipation for the new addition to their family.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is of utmost importance. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I won't completely rule out the possibility, we currently have no intentions of having a third baby.
The couple is not in agreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who chose their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second child and believes that he is trying to take charge of the naming process again. As a result, they are currently not speaking to each other, although Summer admits that she is just joking. She also provided a list of her current favorite name options, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Pardi and summer tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their baby, Presley, in February 2023. They revealed that they had been attempting to have a child since their wedding and had sought advice from medical professionals. After taking a break from trying to conceive, they were pleasantly surprised to become pregnant soon after.
