Jon Pardi's spouse has shared information about her second pregnancy. Now that Jon Pardi and his wife, Summer, have revealed to their fans that they are expecting their second child, the couple is fully focused on preparing for the arrival of the baby. Summer provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy during an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend.
The singer's spouse took the time on Saturday (Jan. 27) to respond to several inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. Among the topics discussed was the revelation of how she discovered her current pregnancy. She confessed that the news came unexpectedly, not due to the fact that they were not attempting to conceive, but rather because it had taken them a considerable amount of time to become pregnant with their one-year-old daughter, Presley.
Summer shared in a slide that it was extremely difficult for them to conceive a child named Presley. They tried for a period of two years and were advised to undergo IVF (in vitro fertilization) but surprisingly, they were able to conceive naturally when they decided to let go of the stress and pressure. Summer mentioned that due to their previous experience, they decided to start trying for another baby in October, anticipating another lengthy process.
She discovered her pregnancy in the morning after taking a test that initially showed a negative result. One day, she woke up very early in the morning and needed to use the bathroom. Since she and her partner had been trying to conceive for the past few weeks, she decided to take a pregnancy test. She observed the test and saw that it turned out to be negative, which disappointed her. She discarded the test in the trash and went back to bed.
Luckily, the story did not come to an end at that point. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the test she had thrown away earlier to recheck the results. To her surprise, the test showed a clear positive result. She realized that she had been accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing instant results and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.
In other parts of the Q&A, Summer acknowledges that she was taken aback when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was unexpected for her because the symptoms she encountered during this pregnancy were quite different from her first one. During this pregnancy, she experienced intense nausea from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe she was carrying a boy. She even had already chosen a nursery theme for a boy.
Earlier this month, the Pardis performed a straightforward gender reveal by removing two slices from a pepperoni pizza to uncover pink pieces of paper below. Despite both Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, being taken aback by the news of having another girl in the family, she expresses that they are extremely thrilled.
The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is of utmost importance. Additionally, we are content with having two babies. While I cannot completely rule out the possibility, we currently do not have any intentions of having a third baby.
The couple is currently in disagreement about what to name their upcoming baby. Summer claims that Pardi, who had chosen their first child's name, dislikes all of her suggestions for their second baby and believes that he is trying to choose the name again. As a result, they are currently not speaking to each other, although Summer adds that she is only joking. She also provided a list of her favorite name options, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.
Since 2020, Pardi and Summer have been in a marital union. Their child, Presley, was born in February 2023. Alongside the announcement of their pregnancy, they revealed that they had been actively attempting to conceive since their wedding. They sought advice from medical professionals before deciding to pause their efforts, which ultimately led to a swift conception.
