Jon Pardi’s Wife Shares Surprising Pregnancy Details and Baby No. 2 Plans

  • by

Jon Pardi's spouse, Summer, has shared information about her second pregnancy. The couple recently announced to their fans that they are expecting their second child. Summer provided a glimpse into her current pregnancy through an Instagram Stories Q&A session over the weekend, showing that they are fully embracing the baby preparations.

During the weekend (January 27), the spouse of the singer responded to several inquiries from fans regarding pregnancy and babies. One of the questions was about how she discovered she was pregnant this time. She confessed that the news came unexpectedly, not because they were not attempting to conceive, but because it took them a considerable amount of time to get pregnant the first time, when they had their one-year-old daughter Presley.

Summer shared in one slide that they faced difficulties in conceiving their child, Presley. They tried for two years and were advised to undergo IVF. However, surprisingly, they conceived naturally after deciding to let go of all the stress surrounding the situation. Due to their previous experience, they decided to start trying for another child in October, expecting it to potentially be another lengthy process.

The day she discovered she was pregnant began with a pregnancy test that initially showed a negative result. "I woke up very early one morning and had to use the bathroom, so I decided to take a pregnancy test because we had been trying for a few weeks. I observed the test and it showed a negative result, which disappointed me. I threw it away and went back to sleep."

Luckily, the story didn't conclude there. After a few hours, Summer had a feeling and decided to retrieve the pregnancy test from the garbage to double-check. To her surprise, the result was indeed positive. She realized that she had become accustomed to COVID-19 tests providing rapid results and had forgotten that pregnancy tests take a few minutes to fully develop.

In another part of the Q&A, Summer confesses that she was caught off guard when she discovered that they were going to have another girl. This was surprising because she experienced different symptoms compared to her first pregnancy. During this pregnancy, she felt extremely nauseous from weeks 5 to 10, which led her to believe she was having a boy. She even had a chosen theme for the nursery in mind.

Earlier this month, Pardis used a unique method to announce the gender of their upcoming child. They revealed the gender by removing two slices of pepperoni pizza, which uncovered pink slips of paper underneath. Summer and her husband, who is a country singer, were both pleasantly surprised to discover that they will be welcoming another girl into their family. Despite the unexpected news, they are extremely thrilled about this addition.

The well-being of a joyful and healthy baby is our top priority. Additionally, we are content with having two babies at the moment. While I won't completely rule out the possibility, we currently have no intentions of having a third baby.

One aspect of being parents that the couple doesn't agree on at the moment is the name for their upcoming baby. Summer mentioned that Pardi, who had chosen their first child's name, doesn't like any of her suggestions for their second baby and believes he gets to choose the name again. As a result, they are currently not discussing the topic. However, Summer playfully added that they are just joking about not talking. She also shared a list of her current favorite name options, which include Aspen, Grace, Nelli, Skeye, and others.

Pardi and Summer tied the knot in 2020 and welcomed their baby, Presley, in February 2023. When they revealed the news of their pregnancy, they mentioned that they had been actively trying to have a baby since their wedding. They even sought medical advice before taking a break from their attempts, which surprisingly resulted in their successful conception.
