However, the writers turned Juliette into an alcoholic and later had her abandon her daughter to go to a chaotic place in Europe. It was evident that the writers were not being creative and not doing proper research. They were simply taking aspects of Panettiere's real life and adding their own twist to it. As a result, the storylines became predictable and lacked originality.
