Hayden Panettiere, known for her role in the hit TV show "Nashville," recently shared in an interview that her experience filming the show was emotionally distressing for her. Despite achieving significant success in her career through the show, Panettiere revealed that it had a deep impact on her well-being.
Panettiere played the role of Juliette Barnes, a country star, on the TV show Nashville, which aired from 2012 to 2018. She has been vocal about her battles with alcohol, opioids, and post-partum depression. In a recent interview, Panettiere reveals that the show's writers heavily drew inspiration from her own life experiences to create her character's storylines, making the filming process particularly challenging.
Right from the start, it felt like I was dating a football player, and then Juliette starts dating one too," Panettiere explains. "And then they portray her as an alcoholic. Then they have her abandon her daughter and go to some crazy place in Europe, and it was very clear that they were not being original. They were not coming up with new storylines. They were simply taking elements from my life and putting their own twist on it."
According to Panettiere, her time on Nashville was highly fulfilling in terms of her career. However, she found the experience to be emotionally distressing because she felt like she was reliving her own life through her character.
Panettiere plans to go on a tour called "A Conversation With Hayden Panettiere" in three different cities. Through this tour, she aims to inspire and support individuals who are facing similar challenges as she has in her own life.
