Hayden Panettiere, known for her role in the television series 'Nashville', recently revealed in an interview that filming the show had a significant negative impact on her. She described the experience as "very traumatizing".
From 2012 to 2018, Panettiere played the role of Juliette Barnes, a country star in the television series Nashville. Throughout her career, she has been candid about her battles with alcohol, opioids, and post-partum depression. In a recent interview, she reveals that the show's writers drew heavily from her own experiences for the storylines of her character, making the filming process particularly challenging for her.
Right from the beginning, it felt like I was dating a football player and then the character Juliette also dates a football player," Panettiere explains. "But then they made her character an alcoholic. Afterwards, they had her abandon her daughter and go to some crazy place in Europe, and it was clear that they weren't being original. They weren't coming up with new storylines. They were just taking inspiration from my life and putting their own twist on it. And just like that, it's done and over with."
According to Panettiere, her time on Nashville was highly beneficial for her career, but she found it to be emotionally distressing as it felt like she was reliving her own personal experiences.
Panettiere is planning to start a tour in three different cities called "A Conversation With Hayden Panettiere," with the goal of inspiring and supporting individuals who are facing similar challenges as she has experienced.
