Hayden Panettiere, known for her role in the popular TV show 'Nashville', has recently revealed in an interview that the filming experience was extremely distressing for her. Despite the show's significant success, Panettiere expressed that it had a profound impact on her emotional well-being.
Panettiere played the role of Juliette Barnes, a famous country singer, in the TV series Nashville, which aired from 2012 to 2018. The actress has been transparent about her challenges with alcohol, opioids, and post-partum depression. In a recent interview with the Messenger, Panettiere reveals that the show's writers heavily drew inspiration from her personal experiences to shape her character's storylines. This made the filming process particularly challenging for her.
Right from the start, it felt like I was dating a football player, and then Juliette starts dating one too," Panettiere explains. "And then they portray her as an alcoholic. After that, they have her abandon her daughter and go to some crazy place in Europe, and it was very clear that they weren't being creative. They weren't coming up with new storylines. They were simply taking aspects of my life and putting their own twist on it." And then, voila! It's finished and done.
According to Panettiere, her time on the show Nashville was both fulfilling and emotionally distressing. She felt that the experience was traumatic because she saw parallels between her character's life and her own personal experiences.
Panettiere plans to go on a tour called "A Conversation With Hayden Panettiere," that aims to inspire and support individuals who are facing similar challenges as she has.
