Hayden Panettiere, known for her role in the popular TV show 'Nashville', recently shared in an interview that the experience of filming the show had a significant impact on her, describing it as "extremely distressing". Despite achieving tremendous success in her career through the show, Panettiere reveals that the filming process had a profound effect on her well-being.
From 2012 to 2018, Panettiere played the role of Juliette Barnes, a country star, on the TV show Nashville. Throughout her career, she has been vocal about her battles with alcohol, opioids, and post-partum depression. In a recent interview, she revealed that the show's writers drew heavily from her own experiences for her character's storylines, making the filming process particularly challenging for her.
Right from the start, it felt like I was in a relationship with a football player, and then Juliette also dates a football player," Panettiere explains. "And then they portrayed her as an alcoholic. Then they had her abandon her daughter and go to this crazy place in Europe, and it was very obvious… They didn't put in the effort to come up with new storylines. They were just taking inspiration from my own life and putting their own twist on it. And just like that, it's done and over with."
Panettiere expresses that her time on Nashville was highly fulfilling in terms of her professional growth. However, she also states that being on the show was emotionally distressing for her, as it felt like she was reliving her own personal experiences through her character.
Panettiere is planning to go on a tour called "A Conversation With Hayden Panettiere" in three different cities. Through this tour, she aims to inspire and support individuals who are facing similar challenges as she has in the past.
