Hayden Panettiere, known for her role in the hit TV show 'Nashville', recently revealed in an interview that filming the series had a significant emotional impact on her, describing it as a highly distressing experience.
Panettiere portrayed the character of Juliette Barnes, a country singer, in the TV series Nashville, which aired from 2012 to 2018. The actress has been candid about her challenges with alcohol addiction, opioid use, and postpartum depression. In a recent interview, she reveals that the show's writers drew heavily from her own experiences to shape her character's storylines, resulting in a particularly challenging filming experience for her.
Right from the beginning, it felt like I was dating a football player and then the character Juliette also started dating a football player. However, the writers then made her character an alcoholic and had her leave her daughter to go to Europe. It was clear that they were not being creative and instead just taking inspiration from my own life experiences and adding their own twist to it. They didn't put much effort into coming up with new storylines. It was like they were just copying what I was going through and calling it a day.
According to Panettiere, her time on Nashville brought her great professional success. However, she also describes the experience as emotionally distressing because she felt as though she was reliving her own personal life through her character.
Panettiere is preparing to kick off a tour called "A Conversation With Hayden Panettiere" in three different cities. Through this tour, she aims to inspire and support individuals who are facing similar challenges as she has in her own life.
