In a recent interview, Hayden Panettiere, known for her role in the TV show 'Nashville,' revealed that the experience of filming the show had a significant emotional impact on her, describing it as "very traumatizing." Despite achieving great professional success through her role, the experience was evidently challenging for her.
Panettiere played the role of Juliette Barnes, a country star, in the TV show Nashville, which aired from 2012 to 2018. The actress has been candid about her battles with alcohol, opioids, and post-partum depression. In a recent interview, she revealed that the writers of the show drew heavily from her own experiences for her character's storylines, which made the filming process particularly challenging for her.
Right from the start, it felt like I was dating a football player, and then Juliette also dates a football player," Panettiere explains. "And then they portrayed her as an alcoholic. After that, they made her leave her daughter and go to some crazy place in Europe. It was clear that they weren't being original with their storylines. Instead, they were just taking inspiration from my own life and adding their own twist to it. And just like that, it's done and finished."
According to Panettiere, her time on Nashville was highly fulfilling in terms of her career. However, she describes the experience as deeply distressing because she felt as though she was reliving her own personal life through her character.
Panettiere is planning to go on a tour called "A Conversation With Hayden Panettiere" across three cities. Her intention is to inspire and support individuals who are facing similar challenges as she has experienced.
