In a recent interview, Hayden Panettiere, known for her role in the hit show 'Nashville,' revealed that filming the series had a profound impact on her, describing it as a highly distressing experience.
Panettiere portrayed the character of Juliette Barnes, a country star, in the TV show Nashville, which aired from 2012 to 2018. Throughout her career, Panettiere has been transparent about her challenges with alcohol, opioids, and post-partum depression. In a recent interview, she reveals that the show's writers drew heavily from her real-life experiences to shape her character's storylines, resulting in a challenging filming process for her.
Right from the start, it felt like I was dating a football player, and then Juliette also starts dating a football player," Panettiere expresses. "And then they portrayed her as an alcoholic. Then they had her abandon her daughter and go to this crazy place in Europe, and it was very obvious… They were not being creative. They were simply taking inspiration from my own life and putting their own twist on it. And just like that, it's done and finished."
Panettiere expresses that her time in Nashville was fulfilling in terms of her professional growth. However, she also reveals that the experience was emotionally distressing as she felt as though she was reliving her own personal life through her character.
Panettiere is planning to begin a tour called "A Conversation With Hayden Panettiere" in three different cities. The purpose of this tour is to provide support and inspiration to individuals who are going through similar challenges as she has faced.
