Chris Young has been found not guilty of any charges related to the incident that took place at a bar in Nashville on Monday night.
Glenn Funk, the District Attorney of Nashville, announced that the charges will be dropped based on a thorough examination of all the evidence in this particular case.
The concise statement lacked details, however, Young's attorney requested the complete dismissal of charges and a formal apology following the release of a video that depicted Young being forcefully pushed to the ground by a TABC agent.
The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Night" seems to extend his arm in front of an agent, but then he is forcefully pushed. Subsequently, the 38-year-old singer falls backwards into the bar and ends up rolling onto some chairs that are nearby.
Attorney Bill Ramsey states in a statement given to Taste of Country on Wednesday (Jan. 24) that the arrest and charges against his client Chris Young at a bar in Nashville on Monday night were unjust and should have never occurred.
Young and TABC had their initial encounter at the Tin Roof bar a short while ago. According to the agency's account, Young raised his identification above his head and cooperated with the inspection. However, later on, he reappeared exhibiting bloodshot and watery eyes, along with slurred speech.
A representative acknowledged that they encouraged Young to create separation. However, when the footage of the incident surfaced, the majority of the public supported Young's perspective.
Taste of Country was given four distinct camera angles, enabling fans to assess the extent of his aggression in the video above. Young has not made any comments about the incident on social media so far.
