Chris Young Exonerated: Charges Dropped After Nashville Bar Arrest

  • by

Chris Young has been absolved of all accusations following his arrest at a Nashville bar on Monday night.

The District Attorney of Nashville, Glenn Funk, has issued a statement stating that the charges will be dropped "following a thorough examination of all the evidence involved in this particular case."

The short statement did not provide any further details, however, the lawyer representing Young had requested for the charges to be dropped entirely and for an apology to be issued. This request came after a video emerged showing Young being forcefully pushed to the ground by a TABC agent.

In the video, it seems like the singer of "Young Love & Saturday Night" extends his arm towards an agent, but then gets forcefully pushed. As a result, the 38-year-old singer stumbles and falls backwards into the bar, ultimately landing on some chairs nearby.

Attorney Bill Ramsey expressed his belief that the arrest and charges against his client, Chris Young, at a bar in Nashville on Monday night were unjust and should have never occurred, according to a statement provided to Taste of Country on Wednesday (Jan. 24).

Young and TABC had their initial encounter at the Tin Roof bar a short while ago. According to the agency's report, Young raised his identification above his head and followed the check procedure. However, when he returned, the report mentioned that Young had red and watery eyes, as well as a speech impairment.

One agent acknowledged their involvement in encouraging Young to distance himself from something. However, when video evidence of the incident surfaced, the majority of the public formed a favorable opinion towards Young.

Taste of Country was given four different camera angles, which enables fans to assess the degree of aggression displayed by Young. So far, Young has not addressed the incident on any of his social media platforms.
