Chris Young Exonerated: Charges Dropped After Nashville Bar Incident

  • by

Chris Young has been found innocent of all accusations related to the recent incident that took place at a bar in Nashville on Monday night.

Glenn Funk, the District Attorney of Nashville, has announced that the charges will be dropped following a thorough examination of all the evidence related to this case.

The concise remark did not provide any further details, however, Young's attorney had requested for the charges to be completely dropped and for an apology to be issued. This request came after a video was revealed, capturing the moment when Young was forcefully pushed to the ground by a TABC agent.

The singer of "Young Love & Saturday Night" seems to extend his arm towards an agent before being forcefully pushed. Subsequently, the 38-year-old singer loses his balance and falls backwards into the bar, eventually landing on some nearby chairs.

Attorney Bill Ramsey states that the incident involving his client Chris Young at a bar in Nashville on Monday night was unjust and he should not have been arrested or charged in the beginning. He provides this statement to Taste of Country on Wednesday (Jan. 24).

Young and TABC had their initial encounter at the Tin Roof bar just a few moments ago. According to the report from the agency, Young presented his identification by raising it above his head and followed the check process. However, the report mentioned that when he returned, Young's eyes were bloodshot and watery, and his speech was slurred.

One of the agents admitted to urging Young to "put some space" between himself and someone else. When the video of the incident surfaced, public opinion sided with Young.

Taste of Country was given access to four different camera angles, allowing fans to assess the level of aggression displayed by Young in the video above. However, Young has not made any statements regarding the incident on social media.
