The singer of the song "I Can Feel It" and Katelyn Jae crossed paths for the first time in 2016 with the help of their mutual friends in the music industry. During that period, both of them were striving to establish themselves in the music business, and they instantly connected due to their shared passion for music.
Brown has acknowledged that he and his spouse had the possibility of meeting earlier, but he decided to cancel their plans.
Brown explained on the Bobby Bones Show in 2023 that he was initially scheduled to appear in her music video during their first meeting, but he had to perform at his first show on that day. As a result, he did not meet her until a year later.
