Thomas Rhett provided support to Conner Smith in moving on from a past romantic relationship. Conner Smith recently released his first album titled "Smoky Mountains" and one of the songs called "Creek Will Rise" is rapidly climbing the country music charts.
However, not too many years have passed since the talented individual was simply an average 16-year-old, attending a concert by one of his beloved country music performers.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, which is available on demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert back in 2016, which left a lasting impression on him.
At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to see a Thomas Rhett concert. The venue for the show was Ascend Amphitheater, and we had chosen to sit on the lawn area. During the concert, Thomas Rhett performed his popular song "Die a Happy Man," and I had the intention of slow dancing with the girl, wanting to create a romantic atmosphere.
Smith mentions that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.
After sharing a humorous moment, he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. "After that, about 4 years later, I'm on a tour with Rhett and I couldn't help but think to myself, 'I guess I had the final laugh in that situation,' you know what I'm saying?" he reminisces.
Smith has shared this story with the audience on multiple occasions, and it has become a beloved choice among them.
Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and satisfaction in a romantic separation.
