At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to see a Thomas Rhett concert. I distinctly recall that the concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his popular song "Die a Happy Man," and at that moment, we attempted to slow dance together and create a sweet and romantic atmosphere.
Smith explains that the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.
After sharing a moment of laughter, he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. "About 4 years later, I find myself on tour with Rhett, and at that point, I realize that I had the final victory," he remembers.
Smith has shared this story with the audience multiple times during his performances, and it has become a beloved choice among the listeners.
