Conner Smith has recently released his first album called "Smoky Mountains". One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise", is gaining popularity and quickly climbing up the country music charts.
Not too far back in time, the emerging talent was an average teenager of 16 years old, attending a concert of one of his beloved country music artists.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, which can be accessed on demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about how attending a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 had a significant influence on him.
At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to see a Thomas Rhett concert. The show took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we had seats on the lawn. During the concert, Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man," and I wanted to slow dance with the girl I was with, trying to be romantic and affectionate.
Smith further states that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.
After having a good laugh together, he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. "About four years later, I was on a tour with Rhett and I thought to myself, 'I guess I had the ultimate satisfaction in the end,' if you know what I mean," he remembers.
Smith has recounted this anecdote during several live performances, and it has become a beloved choice among the audience.
Let's discuss the ultimate satisfaction and validation that can be achieved during a breakup.
