Conner Smith has released his first album titled "Smoky Mountains" which is currently available. One of his songs, "Creek Will Rise," is rapidly climbing up the charts in the country music genre.
Not too far in the past, the up-and-coming individual was a typical 16-year-old who attended a concert featuring one of his beloved country music artists.
During the recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, which is available on demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience attending a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a significant impression on him.
At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to watch a Thomas Rhett concert. The venue was Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man." I tried to slow dance with the girl and be affectionate towards her.
Smith mentions that the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.
After sharing a moment of laughter, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett and realized that he had ultimately come out on top in that situation.
Smith has recounted this particular story on stage multiple times, and it has become a beloved choice among the audience.
