Conner Smith, a new artist, has recently released his debut album called Smoky Mountains. One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise," is gaining popularity and climbing up the country music charts.

Not too far back in time, the up-and-coming star was an ordinary sixteen-year-old who attended a concert by one of his beloved country music artists.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available to watch at any time, Smith shares a personal anecdote about going to a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that had a significant effect on him.

At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to see Thomas Rhett perform live. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we had seats on the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett played his popular song "Die a Happy Man," and at that moment, I wanted to slow dance with the girl I was with, trying to create a sweet and romantic atmosphere.

Smith further mentions that the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.

After sharing a moment of laughter, he proceeds to recount the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on a tour with Rhett when he realized that he had ultimately emerged victorious, proving that he had the final say in the situation.

Smith has shared this story during his performances on multiple occasions and it has become a beloved choice among the audience.
