Garth Brooks, the famous country singer, once had an impact on an MLB player's batting stance. Craig Counsell, who is now the manager of the Chicago Cubs, had a successful career as a professional baseball player from 1995 to 2007.
Counsell gained recognition for his unique and non-traditional batting stance, where he would hold his bat elevated in the air. The reason behind this peculiar stance remained a mystery to everyone, as Counsell never provided an explanation for it.
After Counsell was appointed as the manager of the Chicago Cubs, he participated in the 2024 Cubs Convention, where he was finally questioned about his previous practice of holding the bat in a high position.

Counsell admits that he wasn't skilled at hitting the baseball during his time with the Los Angeles Dodgers while he was attending their spring training sessions. He struggled to achieve any successful hits.

The crowd erupted with excitement. However, when I looked up, I saw that Garth Brooks had unexpectedly made a spectacular diving catch in left field, preventing me from getting a hit and extending my streak of not getting any hits to 0-4.
The people attending the press conference were greatly amused by this story.
The following day, I was set free. I had a conversation with myself, questioning why I couldn't achieve any successful hits. This prompted me to raise my hands high up in the air, and surprisingly, it made a significant difference in my performance.
