How Thomas Rhett Helped Conner Smith Get Over an Ex-Girlfriend: A Tale of Payback and Vindication

  • by

Conner Smith has recently released his first album called "Smoky Mountains". One of the songs from his album, titled "Creek Will Rise", is gaining popularity and climbing the ranks on the country music charts.

Not too far in the past, the up-and-coming celebrity was simply an average sixteen-year-old who attended a concert by one of his beloved country music artists.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available on demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience attending a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016, which left a lasting impression on him.

At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to see a Thomas Rhett concert. The venue was Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his popular song "Die a Happy Man," and I attempted to slow dance with my date in a sweet and romantic manner.

According to Smith, the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.

After sharing a humorous moment, he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett and had a realization that made him feel like he had the final victory in the situation.

Smith has recounted this story multiple times during his performances, and it is well-received by the audience.

Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and validation in a relationship ending.
