Thomas Rhett Leaves Lasting Impact on Rising Star Conner Smith with Unforgettable Concert Encounter

  • by

Conner Smith has released his first album called "Smoky Mountains," which is currently available. One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise," is rapidly climbing the charts in the country music genre.

However, not too far in the past, this up-and-coming talent was just an average 16-year-old attending a concert by one of his beloved country music performers.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience attending a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016, which had a significant effect on him.

At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to attend a concert by Thomas Rhett. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater and we were seated in the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man" and I attempted to slow dance with the girl, aiming to create a sweet and romantic moment.

Smith further explains that on the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.

We have a moment of laughter, and then he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on a tour with Rhett and thought to himself, "I suppose I had the final victory in that situation," implying that he got the better outcome.

Smith has shared this story with the audience during his performances, and it has become a beloved choice among the spectators.

Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and validation in a relationship ending.
