Conner Smith has released his first album called "Smoky Mountains" and it is currently available. One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise," is gaining popularity and rapidly climbing the country music charts.
However, not too far in the past, the emerging talent was just an average sixteen-year-old, attending a live performance by one of his preferred country music musicians.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a lasting impression on him.
At the age of 16, I had a memorable experience of going on a date with a girl to a Thomas Rhett concert. The show took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we had seats on the lawn area. During the concert, Thomas Rhett performed his popular song "Die a Happy Man," and I found myself attempting to slow dance with the girl I was with, trying to create a sweet and romantic moment.
Smith states that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.
We have a moment of laughter together, and then he proceeds to tell the story. He mentions that about 4 years later, he was on tour with Rhett, and at that moment, he felt like he had finally had the satisfaction of having the final laugh, if you understand what I mean.
Smith has recounted this story during live performances on multiple occasions, and it has become a beloved choice among the audience.
Let's discuss the satisfaction and justice that can be found in seeking revenge after a breakup.
