Conner Smith has recently released his first album called "Smoky Mountains". One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise", is gaining popularity and climbing up the country music charts.

Not too far in the past, the up-and-coming celebrity was simply a typical sixteen-year-old who attended a concert of one of his beloved country music artists.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available on demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that had a significant effect on him.

At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to a Thomas Rhett concert. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man," and we attempted to slow dance together, trying to create a romantic and affectionate atmosphere.

Smith adds that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.

After sharing a laugh, he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett and realized that he had ultimately come out on top, giving him a sense of satisfaction.

Smith has recounted this story on multiple occasions during his performances, and it has become a crowd-pleaser.
