Conner Smith, a new artist, has recently released his first album called "Smoky Mountains". One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise", is gaining popularity and quickly climbing up the charts in the country music genre.
Not too far in the past, the up-and-coming celebrity was an average teenager of 16 years, attending a live performance by one of his beloved country music artists.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that greatly affected him.
At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to see a Thomas Rhett concert. The venue was Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his popular song "Die a Happy Man." I recall that during that moment, I attempted to slow dance with the girl, trying to create a romantic and sweet atmosphere.
Smith mentioned that the day after, their partner ended their relationship.
After sharing a laugh, he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. He mentions that about 4 years later, he was on tour with Rhett and at that moment, he felt like he had the satisfaction of having the final laugh.
Smith has recounted this story multiple times during his performances, and it has become a beloved choice among the audience members.
Let's discuss the ultimate revenge and validation in a romantic breakup.
