Thomas Rhett’s Concert Helped Conner Smith Heal a Broken Heart

  • by

Conner Smith has released his first album called "Smoky Mountains," which is currently available. One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise," is gaining popularity and quickly climbing the country music charts.

However, not too far in the past, this up-and-coming talent was simply an average sixteen-year-old who attended a concert by one of his beloved country music artists.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available to stream on demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 which greatly affected him.

At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to a Thomas Rhett concert. The venue was Ascend Amphitheater, and we were sitting on the lawn. I distinctly recall when he performed his song "Die a Happy Man," and we attempted to slow dance together, trying to create a romantic atmosphere.

Smith further explains that the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.

After a humorous moment, he proceeds to recount the story. "About four years later, I find myself on tour with Rhett, and I can't help but think, 'I guess I had the final laugh there,' if you know what I mean," he remembers.

Smith has shared this story with the audience on several occasions, and it has become a popular choice among the listeners.

Let's discuss the ultimate satisfaction and vindication that can be experienced during a breakup.
