  • by

Conner Smith has recently released his first album called "Smoky Mountains," which is now available. One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise," is gaining popularity and rapidly climbing the ranks on country music charts.

However, not too far in the past, the up-and-coming celebrity was simply an average teenager of 16 years old, attending a concert of one of his beloved country music performers.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available on demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a lasting impression on him.

At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to see a Thomas Rhett concert. I still remember that it took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man," and I attempted to slow dance with the girl, wanting to create a romantic and affectionate atmosphere.

Smith states that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.

After we share a moment of laughter, he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett when he realized that he had ultimately triumphed in the situation.

Smith has recounted this story on multiple occasions during his performances, and it is a beloved choice among the audience.

Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and redemption following a romantic split.
