  • by

Thomas Rhett played a significant role in helping Conner Smith move on from a past romantic relationship. Smith's first album, titled "Smoky Mountains," has been released and is currently gaining popularity in the country music genre. One of the album's tracks, "Creek Will Rise," is rapidly climbing up the country music charts.

Not too far in the past, the up-and-coming celebrity was simply an average 16-year-old, attending a concert of one of his preferred country music performers.

In the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016, which left a significant impression on him.

At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to watch a Thomas Rhett concert. The venue was Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated in the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man," and I attempted to slow dance with the girl, wanting to create a romantic atmosphere.

Smith mentions that the following day, his partner ended their relationship with him.

After sharing a laugh together, he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett, and he thought to himself, "I suppose I had the final victory in that situation," indicating that he found the situation amusing.

Smith has recounted this anecdote multiple times during his performances, and it is well-received by the audience.

Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and satisfaction in a romantic separation.
