Conner Smith has recently released his first album called "Smoky Mountains". One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise", is gaining popularity and climbing up the charts in the country music genre.
However, not too far in the past, the emerging talent was an average sixteen-year-old who attended a concert of one of his beloved country music performers.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a significant impression on him.
At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to see Thomas Rhett perform live. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we decided to sit on the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett played his popular song "Die a Happy Man," and in that moment, I wanted to slow dance with the girl I was with, trying to create a sweet and romantic atmosphere.
Smith further explains that the day after, his girlfriend ended their relationship.
After having a good laugh together, he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was touring with Rhett and realized that he had ultimately come out on top in that situation.
Smith has shared this story on stage multiple times and it has been well-received by the audience.
Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and justification in a romantic breakup.
