Thomas Rhett provided support to Conner Smith in moving on from a past romantic relationship. Smith has recently released his first album titled "Smoky Mountains," which includes his popular track "Creek Will Rise" that is rapidly gaining popularity on the country music charts.
Not too long ago, the up-and-coming talent was an average 16-year-old attending a concert of one of his beloved country music artists.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available for streaming, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that had a significant effect on him.
At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to see a Thomas Rhett concert. The venue was the Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man," and we attempted to slow dance together, aiming to create a romantic and sweet moment.
Smith mentions that the following day, his partner decided to end their relationship.
After sharing a moment of laughter, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. "About 4 years later, I find myself on tour with Rhett and I can't help but think, 'I guess I had the final triumph in that situation,' if you know what I mean," he remembers.
Smith has recounted this story multiple times during his performances, and it is greatly enjoyed by the audience.
Let's discuss the ultimate satisfaction and redemption one can experience during a breakup.
