Thomas Rhett’s Concert Helps Conner Smith Get the Last Laugh in Breakup

  • by

Conner Smith has released his first album, titled "Smoky Mountains," which is currently available. One of his songs, called "Creek Will Rise," is rapidly gaining popularity on the country music charts.

However, not too far in the past, the up-and-coming celebrity was simply an average sixteen-year-old who attended a concert by one of his beloved country music performers.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available on demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016, which had a significant effect on him.

At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to see Thomas Rhett perform live. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated in the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett played his hit song "Die a Happy Man," and I wanted to have a special moment with my date by slow dancing with her and being affectionate.

Smith further expresses that the following day, his partner terminated their relationship with him.

After sharing a moment of laughter, he proceeds to narrate the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett and realized that he had ultimately come out on top, which he finds amusing.

Smith has shared this story with the audience on multiple occasions and it has become a popular choice among them.

Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and validation in a relationship ending.
