  • by

Conner Smith has recently released his first album called Smoky Mountains. One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise," is rapidly climbing the charts in the country music genre.

Not too far back in time, the up-and-coming celebrity was simply an average teenager of 16 years old, attending a concert of one of his beloved country music artists.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about going to a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that had a significant influence on him.

At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to a Thomas Rhett concert. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated in the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his hit song "Die a Happy Man," and at that moment, I wanted to slow dance with the girl and create a sweet and romantic atmosphere.

Smith says that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.

After having a good laugh together, he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. He mentions, "About four years later, I was on a tour with Rhett and I couldn't help but think, 'I guess I had the final victory in that situation,' if you understand what I mean."

Smith has shared this story with the audience during his performances, and it has become a popular choice among the listeners.

Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and validation in a romantic separation.
