Thomas Rhett’s Concert Helps Conner Smith Heal a Broken Heart

Conner Smith, a new artist, has recently released his first album called "Smoky Mountains." One of the songs from this album, titled "Creek Will Rise," is gaining popularity and climbing the country music charts.

Not too long ago, the talented young individual was an average 16-year-old who attended a concert of one of his beloved country music artists.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares a personal account of his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a significant impression on him.

At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to a concert by Thomas Rhett. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were sitting in the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his popular song "Die a Happy Man." I was attempting to slow dance with the girl and create a romantic atmosphere.

Smith goes on to say that the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.

After a moment of laughter, he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. "About 4 years later, I was on tour with Rhett and I realized that I had ultimately come out on top in that situation," he remembers.

Smith has shared this story during his performances several times and it has become a beloved choice among the audience.
