Conner Smith has released his first album titled "Smoky Mountains" which is now available. His song called "Creek Will Rise" is rapidly gaining popularity on the country music charts.

However, not too far in the past, the up-and-coming celebrity was an average 16-year-old who attended a concert by one of his beloved country music artists.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available for streaming, Smith shares a personal experience about going to a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a significant impression on him.

At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to watch a Thomas Rhett concert. The venue was the Ascend Amphitheater, and we sat in the lawn area. During the concert, Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man," and I remember attempting to slow dance with the girl, trying to create a sweet and romantic moment.

Smith explains that the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.

We both find something funny in the moment, and then he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. "After about 4 years, I was on tour with Rhett and I thought to myself, 'I guess I ended up having the final laugh in that situation,' if you know what I mean," he remembers.

Smith has shared this story with the audience on multiple occasions, and it has become a popular choice among listeners.
