Thomas Rhett’s Concert Helps Conner Smith Heal a Broken Heart

  • by

Conner Smith has recently released his first album called Smoky Mountains. One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise," is gaining popularity and climbing the country music charts.

However, not too distant in the past, the emerging talent was simply an ordinary sixteen-year-old who attended a concert by one of his beloved country music artists.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available on demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016, which had a significant influence on him.

At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to see Thomas Rhett perform at Ascend Amphitheater. We were seated in the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett played his song "Die a Happy Man," and I wanted to slow dance with the girl I was with, trying to create a sweet and romantic moment.

Smith explains that the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.

After having a laugh together, he proceeds to share the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett and had a realization that made him feel satisfied and amused. He expresses this by saying, "I suppose I had the final victory in that situation, if you understand what I'm saying."

Smith has shared this story during his performances on multiple occasions, and it has become a beloved choice among the audience.

Let's discuss the ultimate satisfaction and retribution in the aftermath of a romantic separation.
