Thomas Rhett’s Concert Helps Conner Smith Heal a Broken Heart

  • by

Conner Smith has recently released his first album, titled "Smoky Mountains." One of the songs from the album, known as "Creek Will Rise," is rapidly gaining popularity on the country music charts.

Not too far in the past, the talented up-and-comer was simply an average teenager of sixteen, attending a concert of one of his beloved country music performers.

During a recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a lasting impression on him.

At the age of 16, I went on a date with a girl to see Thomas Rhett perform live. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett played his song "Die a Happy Man." I tried to create a romantic atmosphere by attempting to slow dance with the girl, aiming to be affectionate and sweet.

Smith mentions that the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.

After sharing a moment of laughter, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. He mentions how, around 4 years later, he was on tour with Rhett and realized that he had ultimately come out on top in that situation, which he finds quite amusing.

Smith has shared this story with the audience during his performances, and it has become a popular choice among the listeners.

Let's discuss the ultimate satisfaction and validation that comes with seeking revenge after a breakup.
