Conner Smith has released his first album called "Smoky Mountains", which is currently available. One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise", is rapidly gaining popularity on the country music charts.
Not too far in the past, the up-and-coming talent was an ordinary sixteen-year-old who attended a concert by one of his beloved country music artists.
During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available for streaming, Smith shares a personal experience of attending a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a lasting impression on him.
At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to a Thomas Rhett concert. I vividly recall that the concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater and we were seated on the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his popular song "Die a Happy Man" and in that moment, I attempted to slow dance with the girl I was with, aiming to create a sweet and romantic atmosphere.
Smith shares that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.
We have a moment of laughter together, and then he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett and realized that he had ultimately come out on top in the situation, which brought him satisfaction.
Smith has shared this story with the audience on multiple occasions and it has become a popular choice among the listeners.
Let's discuss the ultimate satisfaction and justification in a breakup.
