  • by

Conner Smith has released his first album called "Smoky Mountains" which is currently available. One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise," is rapidly gaining popularity and climbing up the charts in the country music genre.

Not too far in the past, the up-and-coming celebrity was an average 16-year-old who attended a concert of one of his beloved country music artists.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available on demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a significant impression on him.

At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to watch a Thomas Rhett concert. I vividly recall that the concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn area. During the performance, Thomas Rhett played his hit song "Die a Happy Man," and I attempted to slow dance with the girl, aiming to create a romantic and affectionate atmosphere.

Smith shares that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.

We have a funny moment before he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. "After that, about 4 years later, I'm on a tour with Rhett and I thought to myself, 'I suppose I had the final laugh in that situation,' do you understand what I'm saying?" he remembers.

Smith has shared this story on stage multiple times, and it is well-received by the audience.

Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and validation in a relationship ending.
