Thomas Rhett’s Concert Helps Conner Smith Heal a Broken Heart

  • by

Conner Smith has recently released his first album, titled "Smoky Mountains". One of the songs from the album, called "Creek Will Rise", is quickly gaining popularity on the country music charts.

Not too far in the past, the up-and-coming celebrity was simply an average 16-year-old, attending a concert by one of his beloved country music performers.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available for streaming, Smith shares a personal experience about going to a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that had a significant influence on him.

At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to watch a Thomas Rhett concert. The venue for the show was Ascend Amphitheater, and we chose to sit on the lawn area. During the performance, Thomas Rhett played his popular song "Die a Happy Man," and at that moment, I attempted to slow dance with the girl, wanting to create a sweet and romantic atmosphere.

Smith mentions that the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.

After having a good laugh together, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett and jokingly says, "I suppose I had the final victory in that situation, if you catch my drift."

Smith has shared this story multiple times during his performances, and it is highly appreciated by the audience.

Let's discuss the ultimate form of retribution and validation during a romantic separation.
