Thomas Rhett’s Concert Helps Conner Smith Heal Heartbreak

  • by

Thomas Rhett played a crucial role in assisting Conner Smith in moving on from a past romantic relationship. Smith, who recently released his first album titled "Smoky Mountains," has also gained significant popularity with his track, "Creek Will Rise," which is rapidly climbing the ranks of country music charts.

However, not too far in the past, the up-and-coming sensation was simply an average sixteen-year-old attending a concert of one of his preferred country music performers.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available on demand, Smith shares a personal anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016, which had a significant influence on him.

At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to see a Thomas Rhett concert. The venue was Ascend Amphitheater, and we had seats in the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man," and at that moment, I tried to slow dance with the girl I was with, aiming to create a romantic and affectionate atmosphere.

Smith shares that the following day, his significant other ended their relationship.

We have a moment of laughter, and then he proceeds to tell the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett, and he thought to himself, "I guess I had the final victory in that situation," if you understand what I mean, he reminisces.

Smith has recounted this story during live performances on multiple occasions, and it is well-received by the audience.

Let's discuss the ultimate satisfaction and justification in a relationship ending.
