Thomas Rhett’s Concert Helps Conner Smith Heal Heartbreak

  • by

Conner Smith has recently released his first album called "Smoky Mountains." One of the songs from the album, titled "Creek Will Rise," is quickly gaining popularity on the country music charts.

However, not too far in the past, the up-and-coming talent was simply an average sixteen-year-old who attended a concert of one of his beloved country music artists.

During the most recent episode of Taste of Country Nights, available On Demand, Smith recounts an anecdote about his experience at a Thomas Rhett concert in 2016 that left a significant impression on him.

At the age of 16, I had a date with a girl and we attended a Thomas Rhett concert. The concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater and we were seated on the lawn area. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his song "Die a Happy Man" and I wanted to slow dance with the girl, trying to create a sweet and romantic moment.

Smith says that the following day, his girlfriend ended their relationship.

After a moment of laughter, he proceeds with the story. "About four years later, I find myself on tour with Rhett, and I realize that I had the final victory," he remembers, expressing his satisfaction.

Smith has recounted this anecdote during his performances on numerous occasions, and it has become a beloved choice amongst the audience.

Let's discuss the ultimate form of revenge and validation in a romantic separation.
