At the age of 16, I had the opportunity to go on a date with a girl to a Thomas Rhett concert. I can vividly recall that the concert took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn. During the show, Thomas Rhett performed his hit song "Die a Happy Man," and at that moment, I attempted to have a slow dance with the girl, trying to create a romantic and affectionate atmosphere.
Smith mentions that the following day, his partner ended their relationship with him.
After sharing a moment of laughter, he proceeds to narrate the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett and couldn't help but feel like he had ultimately come out on top in the situation.
Smith has shared this story with the audience on multiple occasions, and it is highly enjoyed by the listeners.
