At the age of 16, I had a memorable experience going on a date with a girl to watch a Thomas Rhett concert. The show took place at Ascend Amphitheater, and we were seated on the lawn area. One of the songs he performed was "Die a Happy Man," and during that moment, I attempted to slow dance with her, aiming to create a sweet and romantic atmosphere.

Smith mentions that the following day, his partner ended their relationship.

After a moment of laughter, he proceeds to tell the rest of the story. He mentions that about four years later, he was on tour with Rhett and realized that he had finally gotten the satisfaction of having the final say in that situation.
